Fungal Mass Index – A number or percentage of body weight that closely if not exactly coincides with human body mass index.
At this time, since I have no scientific basis for this, I will just put this out there for conjecture. For men, their fungal mass index is the percentage of BMI above 10%, and for women, the percentage above 17%.
More specifically, and in larger proportion, what is referred to as visceral(internal) fat is an indicator of fungal mass overgrowth. On the other hand, subcutaneous fat, which sits just under the stratum basal layer of our epidermis is normally harmless and may even protect against some diseases. The stratum basale is primarily made up of basal keratinocyte stem cells, which can be considered the stem cells of the epidermis.
